Surfadelica recorded one special track for the "Beatles '69" 3 CD project. The Discobertas record label owner Marcelo Fróes conceived the project, which involved 69 Brazilian artists and bands to revisit the entire 1969 Beatles repertoire, including unreleased songs, songs that later appeared on the members solo albums.
So the entirety of "Abbey Road" was re-interpreted as well as the songs on "Let It Be" and "Get Back" among many others.
Surfadelica's track is "HOT AS SUN", recorded by the Beatles, but unreleased at the time and later used on Paul McCartney's first solo album.
The 3 CDs can be bought from one of the Brazilian record chains below:
An exclusive recording by Surfadelica was made for an Ed Cobb tribute to be released in the United States in 2010. This tribute is a Timothy Gassen (leader of Marshmallow Overcoat and of "Knights Of Fuzz" book and video fame).
The album is tribute to producer and songwriter Ed Cobb, very known specially for hits like "Tainted Love" and many songs recorded by 60's garage bands like The Standells and the Chocolate Watchband.
The Surfadelica track is "Standells' Love Theme", an outtake only released with the CD reissue of "The Hot Ones!" album by the Standells. Other tracks on the tribute will include The Fiends, The Marshmallow Overcoat, The Cynics, The Fuzztones, Sick Rose, Dom Mariani and many others.

The "Further Beyond the Sea - The Surf Instrumental Bands Of The World Miraculously Extend Their Repertoire" compilation was released by the British record label Cordelica Records.
The idea was to have modern instrumental surf music bands to follow on the tradition of The Shadows of The Ventures to cover the then current hits of the day into instrumental songs. In this case only songs recorded after 1990 were covered. Surfadelica recorded a version of "The Modern Way" originally recorded by the Kaiser Chiefs.
You can buy this CD directly from Cordelia Records! Or at CD BABY! If you want to listen 30 second clips of all the tracks visit the CD Baby site!
